Last Month’s Meeting

DSC01222b_smallDiana Knight, our president, introduces the speakerIn spite of the cold and the rain our February meeting was well attended. Perhaps the topic was the draw. Steve Chappell sent his apologies, so in his absence Diana Knight chaired the meeting.

DSC01223b_smallStephen Solley sent his apologies for not being able to give the talk he promised. However Daughter Katie and her husband Keith stepped into the breach and proved more than able substitutes.

While Katie manned the projector, Keith delivered a clear and fascinating account of how they produce their Jersey cream ice cream.

DSC01229a_smallAt the end of the talk Keith fielded a barrage of questions while Katie handed out free ice creams to one and all. Altogether a most enjoyable evening.

Betteshanger_site_1Next month, on the 19th March at 7.30, Mark Lumsdon-Taylor from Hadlow College will give us an insight into the developments taking place at Betteshanger and the Fowlmead Country Park. Hadlow college has some exciting plans for development. The picture shows an artist’s impression of what the campus will look like. The college is keen to keep the community up to date with what is happening, so invite as many people as you can.
